Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) June 13, 2013

In August 2012in response to President Obama’s White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African AmericansDr. Raye Mitchell, founder of The New Reality Foundation; actor and NY Times bestselling author Hill Harper; and entertainment executive Lisa Jones Johnson established The M.B.A. Series (Motivated Brilliant Achievers) and The M.B.A. Series Executive Discussion Forum. The three Harvard Law School alumni will join together again Saturday, June 15, 2013, to present the collaborative and innovative M.B.A. Series Executive Leadership Discussion Forum to place focus on crowdfunding, reality TV and preparation of the next generation of global leaders. The forum will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Omni Hotel, 2500 Calvert Street, Washington, D.C.

Richard Fudge, social entrepreneur and program moderator said, “Innovation is both an art and an acquired skill, and running a crowdfunding project is one thing, but owning a piece of the emerging market is a whole new opportunity.”

On the heels of the White House ‘Champions of Change’ ceremony for crowdfunding pioneers, the M.B.A. Series comes to the nation’s capitol to continue galvanizing and inspiring young professionals to engage innovation, new technologies and other game changing tools. The Washington, D.C. forum is an important first stop on the national tour of the M.B.A. Series that will arrive next in Boston (9/2013), San Francisco (10/2013), and New York (11/2013).

Augmenting Fudge’s comment, Harper remarked, “We need to embrace innovation to create radical shifts in the entertainment segment, philanthropy, social entrepreneurism and entrepreneurial opportunities for African Americans.”

Recognizing the crowdfunding and reality TV industries are high growth industries, Dr. Mitchell said, “This seminar focuses on how the next generation of global leaders can own a piece of these expanding industries to fuel innovation and radical shifts in the entertainment segment, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and educational excellence.”

Jones Johnson expounds, “The boundaries of innovation are constantly expanding and our goal is to engage the next generation of global leaders in a discussion that explores crowdfunding as a means of tapping into entrepreneurs’ pent up demand to obtain the financial validation of their marketwithout the gatekeepers and television as a tool to further expand the power of that message.”

Seminar participants will be briefed on industry trends and growth segments, and will take away solid skills in spurring innovation and running a successful crowdsourced campaign. There is no cost for attendance, but registration is required and space is limited. http://www.TheMBASeries.org | http://www.mba2013tour.eventbrite.com.
