NATIONWIDE (PRWEB) March 20, 2013

In November 2012, Harvard Law School alumni Dr. Raye Mitchell, actor and NY Times bestselling author Hill Harper, and social media entertainment executive Lisa Jones Johnson established The M.B.A. Series(TM) and The M.B.A. Series Executive Discussion Forum. The M.B.A. Series (Motivated Brilliant Achievers) exists to train the next generation of global leaders and to infuse innovation skill sets in entertainment, education, philanthropy and business segments. The M.B.A. Series Executive Discussion Forum will launch details concerning its 2013 national tour during The Soho Loft-sponsored crowdfunding panel during the Thomson Reuters PartnerConnect Conference to be held April 3-5, 2013 at the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center in Boston, MA. Dr. Mitchell will hold talks and network with venture capital, private equity and funds management professionals to raise awareness of opportunities to invest in The M.B.A. Series.

Crowdfunding is the game changing tool of the millennium that inspires innovation and empowers individuals and grassroots organizations to network and pool their money to support efforts they believe in, and to create the change they want to see–i.e., from new disaster relief programs, broader access to new publishing platforms, global engagement of causes, entrepreneur startup funding, new social impact enterprises and new entertainment products.

Now, just in time for the first anniversary of the JOBS ACT of 2012, The M.B.A. Series Executive Discussion Forum, which embraces new crowdfunding platforms, announces its 2013 national tour to include San Francisco Bay Area (5/2013), Washington, DC (6/2013), Boston (9/2013) and New York (11/2013). “Innovation is a skill that everyone talks about, but few know how to do it. We will provide solutions and not just talk as we engage the new generation of leaders (ages 12-40) to be globally competitive by providing skill-based discussion forums and materials on innovation and leadership,” said Raye Mitchell, an innovation expert, social entrepreneur and co-founder of The M.B.A. Series Executive Discussion Forum.

The M.B.A. Series will provide new and different tools to engage innovation in the entertainment industry; and one of the new key initiatives will involve an unscripted reality TV program that focuses on innovation, change and healthy competition. It will appeal to the new generation of millennials who want entertainment value content and to engage in activities that generate positive social impact. “Our reality TV project is like crowdfunding on steroids. It is an ideal opportunity for sponsors, angel investors and corporate marketing leaders looking for brand integration opportunities to connect around innovation,” commented Mitchell.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Raye to the crowdfunding panel to The Soho Loft (TSL) Innovative Investing Symposium 2013 at the Thompson Reuters conference,” said event moderator David Drake, founder and Chairman of The Soho Loft Series–a subsidiary of LDJ Capital. “The Thomson Reuters ParterConnect East Conferences on venture capital, private equity and funds management presents the best networking opportunities known in the Investment Industry. Last year, they inaugurated the first ever event for investors with more than 2,000 participants. For this year, Thomson Reuters works with The Soho Loft who will provide cutting edge workshops from crowdfunding to incubation, to angel networks and venture capital spark new investing opportunities for the investors.” All registration materials for the Soho Loft Innovative Investing Symposium and the M.B.A. Series regional events are available online at http://www.thembaseries.org.

“After working as a panel member with Raye, Hill and Lisa at the inaugural M.B.A. Series Executive Discussion Forum in November 2012, I am eager to bring the M.B.A. Series program to a TSL event. TSL seeks to provide relevant education and visionary leadership training in the areas of capital formation, crowd funding, angel networking, non-conventional funding, EB-5 green card programs, micro-finance, venture capital, private equity and hedge fundsall of which are directed to creating a new path to socio-economic prosperity.”

ABOUT THE M.B.A. SERIES AND THE M.B.A. EXECUTIVE SERIES

The M.B.A. Series is intended to raise the bar in how we engage our youth of color and a new generation of young leaders and provide an intellectually rigorous, interesting and success-driven interactive learning experience.
